Assisi Hotels
Most people when travelling to Assisi, think of either staying in a hotel or renting an apartment. However, there are other, cheaper options which are often overlooked. In this post, I will be discussing the pros and cons of staying in a hotel and staying in an apartment, and then giving a brief overview of two of the cheaper options which are staying in a monastery or staying with a local family.
Staying in a hotel in Assisi can be a great option if you are looking for a comfortable and convenient stay. Hotels often offer amenities such as room service, laundry service, and breakfast. They are also centrally located, which can be helpful if you are looking to explore the city. However, hotels can be quite expensive, especially during peak season.
Another option for staying in Assisi is renting an apartment. This can be a great option if you are travelling with a group of friends or family, as it can be cheaper than staying in a hotel. Additionally, you have the advantage of having a kitchen where you can cook your own meals, which can be helpful if you are looking to save money. However, apartments can be difficult to find, and they can also be quite small.
There are two cheaper options which are often overlooked when travelling to Assisi. The first is staying in a monastery. Monasteries often offer dormitory-style accommodations which are a great option if you are looking for a cheap stay. They are also located centrally, and many of them offer breakfast and Wi-Fi. The only downside is that they can be quite noisy.
The second cheaper option is staying with a local family. This can be a great option if you are interested in getting to know the local culture. Many families offer rooms for rent, and many of them also include breakfast in the price. However, it is important to note that not all families are fluent in English, so you may need to be prepared to use some basic Italian phrases.
